After a big bush breakfast we left the camp at 7h30 and were back at the mokoro station 2 hours later. We said good-bye to our Polers who were with us for the last 3 days. They were so amazing. Judge was the lead guide and he was so knowledgable and so wonderful with the kids, then there was Rus, Dix, Sox and Mrs. Bacon. Such a fantastic crew! And Lebs and Phil were cooking for us in the bush such tasty meals!
At the poler station our transfer from Delta Rain was already waiting for us taking us to Maun airport for our Fly - In Safari to Moremi Crossing.
Matty from Finnland was our pilot and after a 20minute flight with Moremi Air we arrived at the airstrip in the Delta. Mr. EB was our head guide at Moremi Crossing. He welcomed us at the airport and with a tractor we were transported to Moremi Crossing. On arrival at the Moremi Crossings the staff welcomed us with a traditional song. Conrad and Carla received a welcome pack. We stayed in tent number 7 the only family tent. For the next 2 days we enjoyed an open bar with all meals and activities. We were so lucky to be the only clients at the camp so the kids had free play! That is the bonus coming in off season. It is very hot but less crowded.
From the wooden deck we watched the elephant - what a a sight! In the afternoon we had a mokoro trip where we saw elephant, buffalo and hippo very close and almost had a crocodile jumping into the boat! The kids were not allowed on the mokoro trip so they had a private sunset cruise and we met up with them for a sundowner on the boat. What an exciting day!
