Day 21 (25 December 2015) Merry Christmas

An early start got us back on the road driving south to Gaborone. We arrived at 3pm at Mokolodi Backpackers and will now enjoy our Christmas braai a la Stefan.

Tomorrow we will be crossing into South Africa again and hope to be home on Sunday.

Day 20 (24 December 2015) Magkadigkadi Pans

Ein entspannter Tag am Pool.

Am spaeten Nachmittag stiegen wir auf einen offenen Gelaendewagen und begaben uns in die Magkadigkadi Pans. Leider war kein Wasser da, trotz Regenzeit aber der Sonnenuntergang war atemberaubend.

Ausklingen liessen wir den Heilig Abend bei einem Candlelight dinner bei der Nata Lodge. And the kids were very happy to unwrap some presents.

 

Day 19 (23 December 2015) Nata

Good Bye Victoria Falls. The Falls were nice to see but there is no reason for staying here any longer!
We are back in beautiful Botswana. The border crossing took us 30 minutes! That was record time! Even with all the veterinary checks and walking through the sterilazation baths.

We are now heading south again towards South Africa. The road to Nata was in a good condition and we had elephant sightings all the way. The next 2 nights we will be staying at Nata Lodge. A dip in the swimming pool on such a hot day felt so great. Even Stefan found his way into the water - that does not happen very often.

 

Drumming lessons kept the kids entertained.
